I decided to make a comic just like all those ultra cool ones i see on tumblr nowadays!!
Actually, your strawman is an accurate portrayal of this site, and radicals in general.
See, the comics wouldn’t be made if your side didn’t do things like…
…defending the rape of an 8 year old because it was a boy
…or saying that a cartel leader and a mass murderer are feminist icons who deserve our respect, rather than monsters
…or taking actions that lead to the death of someone’s beloved pet
…or driving countless people off the site through doxxing, harrassment, death threats, rape threats, and general douchebaggery
…or said that a dictator who kills gays, has state sanctioned rape against 11 year olds, and has had allegations of wanting to commit genocide is a hero because whites can’t own land
…or doxxing someone and giving their personal information to the person who raped them
…or telling several people to commit suicide, or sending death threats
…or painting members of a fandom as pedophiles because of a fake story
…or scamming people out of thousands of dollars and not delivering on promises, such as femfreq
…or calling rape victims rape apologists because they acknowledge the fact that there is no rape culture in the ISO
…or passing around fake stories for no reason
…or getting pissy about Father’s Day because it respects fathers, or turning into posts about women, as shown by the hastag #endfathersday on Twitter
…or speak against transmen because they are ‘gender traitors’
…or the #killallmen and #diecisscum hastags
…or throw gay men under the bus if they’re white or men
…or hating people simply because they like a show
…or telling people that men are poison with several metaphors
…or dedicating blogs to men sitting comfortably on public transportation as to not squish their testicles (and claiming it’s oppression)
...or attacking a man who was raped because he should have enjoyed it.
…or mocking men who want to break down established gender roles with ‘male tears’ mugs, or by silencing them entirely through terrorist threats, or civil disturbances
…or praising a man who said we should slaughter anyone slightly disrespectful
…or equating dresscodes to slavery
…or attack allies who are actually trying to help you
…or taking the shooting of four men and two women, which was motivated by misanthropy and mental illness, just about women and turning it into individual women’s pet issues such as nicknames, dresscodes, and portrayal in media
So when your side does that and people either defend them or ignore them, then people will have a tendency to generalize that the most vocal advocates of your community are like that. Yeah, it might be unfair to expect you to remain civil and not threaten people or tell people to kill themselves because they were born a certain way, but that’s life. People today might belong to the same group of oppressors that you’re fighting, but they can’t help that any more than you can help being you. You need people to help you, whether you like it or not. And being hateful is just going to drive people away.
